Car trouble with matzohs: 3-21-1915
March 21, 1915: A wise Jew gives himself some advice.
- Go figure, you can make money with a car that doesn't run.
- If it were the eve of Passover all year, I'd give up my matchmaker's fees.
- Why did you up and stop on me? They're going to be asking the four questions soon.
- To the Dardanelles with you, or to East Frisia, you'd get what's coming to you.
- I only have 83 more houses to bring matzoh to, then I'll be all right.

אַ איד אַ חכם גיט זיך אָן עצה.

געה װײס אַז מען קען מאַכען געלד מיט אַן אױטאָמאָביל װאָס װיל ניט געהן.
2
װען עס זאָל אַ גאַנץ יאָהר זײַן ערב פסח, װאָלט איך אױפֿגעגעבען מײַן שדכנות.
3
װאָס-זשע האָסטו זיך מיר אַװעגעשטעלט? מען דאַרף שױן באַלד פֿרעגען דיא קשיות.
4
געה מיר אין דיא דאַרדאַנעלען, אָדער אין איסט פֿרײשען, װעט מען דיר טהון דײַן רעכט.
5
איך דאַרף נאָך צוטראָגען דיא מצות 83 הײַזער, װעל איך זײַן אָלל-רײַט.
