Gimpel wishes him into the army. 10-18-1914

Did Sam Zagat lose his favorite pen?

"Shtarkus" calls the loafers one of the worst epithets available: "converts to Christianity," presumably because nice Jewish boys wouldn't do whatever they did prior to the first frame here.

October 18, 1914: If not, one knows who to take into the war!
  1. Motke: I'll tell my father, yes I will, he'll kill you, yes he will.
  2. Notke: Wait, I'll go get my father. He'll give you a good fight.
  3. GB: I'll show him, that loafer. He'll soon ...
  4. Mr Strong: These are your little heretics, Mister? Say your final confession.
  5. GB: They take every man into the war and not this loafer.

אַז ניט װײסט מען דען װעמען צו נעהמען אין דער מלחמח!

מאָטקע: איך׳ל דערצעהלען מײַן טאַטען, װעל איך. ער װעט דיך דער׳הרג׳ענען, װעט ער דיך.
