Below: the anticipation of what Gimpel's inheritance might be is building up. The decedent was a German woman he had hitherto considered to be an anti-Semite. We'll see.

1. GB: Here, supposedly, is the lawyer. Soon I'll hear the good news.
   
2. GB: Oh boy, there're quite a few books here! Just about like in a religious study house forgive the comparison.
   
3. Lawyer: This is really you, Mister Gimpel Beynish? Well, you're owed congratulations.
   
4. Lawyer: Sign these papers and tomorrow you'll get sent your inheritance.
   
5. GB: Of course I remember the old German lady. She sure wasn't an anti-semite.
